Love-A-Thon Mini-Challenge #4: An Invitation To Tea

This year’s Love-A-Thon hosted by: Alexa (Alexa Loves Books), Cee (The Novel Hermit), Hazel (Stay Bookish) & Mel (The Daily Prophecy).

To be honest, I am not quite sure how tea parties usually go. But for some reason, I would love to do it someday. I mean, if I were to live in London, I will have to try to drink it sooner or later. Especially if I will host a tea party. Although, as of right now, I would probably want to turn this into a hot-chocolate drinking party.

My oh-so-lovely guests:

She was the first lady that popped into my head, and if I really would have an IRL tea party, she would top the guest list. And that is Jennifer Niven, author of All The Bright Places. I mean, she is just so sweet. Discussing about Supernatural, and how I haven’t even watched it yet would make it an entertaining tea party.

My next guest is an author and his character. I practically cannot get through a tag without mentioning either one or both at the same time. Both are authors and one of them is my book best friend. The people in question are Stephen Chbosky and Charlie Kelmeckis. I would love to ask Charlie on how he is.And of course, what would happen if Stephen Chbosky and Jennifer Niven collaborated on a book? Aghhh so many questions!

The next four guests would be my co-hosts for The Fanboy Book Club. That would be MC at Blame It On The Books, Maan from The Pigeon Reads, Nicka from Read by Nicka and Trisha from The Bookgasm Blog.

And finally, some of my favorite booktubers: Regan at Peruse Project, Sam at Thoughts on Tomes, Catriona at The Little Book Owl, and Sara at Sara Without An H.

How things will go:

First scenario: I’ll probably be very hyper. And I will miss the whole thing. Except that when I rest, I will sit next to Charlie and ask him how I could get involved on stuff. We’re young people who needs to participate more. And I’d love to hear some progress about The Slut and the Falcon. I will give myself an a

Second scenario: I’ll faint at the sight of Stephen Chbosky and Jennifer Niven, together in the same room.

Third scenario: I will get down to business and we will discuss the makings of a perfect male lead.

The venue:

A house on the English countryside or in a garden in Liechtenstein.

What we will eat:

Some scones, chocolate chip cookies, tea, chocolate and coffee.

And hopefully that’s a tea party planned. But I think it did turn into a chocolate party. Anyways, where would you hold your tea parties? 😀

Love-A-Thon Mini Challenge #3: Book Spine Poetry

Pardon me for posting this challenge so late. But I was not able to do it until today. The time finally came. I am now settled in for a mini term break, in which I will be going back to school by… next week. What is summer vacation even?

If you’re like me, basically I procrastinate until the last minute. Although, it is still the 21st in some places right? So I present to you my lovely poem, that is consisted of the most lovely books on my shelves. And by that I mean, contemporaries galore. I did put some fantasy in there, too. For the main reasons that I practically spewed the poetry out of my mouth because it was flooding my brain. Kidding though. Don’t hate on me though, because I cover my books in plastic. Storage reasons purposes :3

The poem is made up from 18 books. Because I’m a poet like that. Now I don’t even know how to word. Haha.

“Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock

And put down those Suicide Notes.

For One More Day.

Let The Perks of Being a Wallflower keep you through.

I will tell you, for It’s Kind of a Funny Story

When I heard of Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets.

He gave me Thirteen Reasons Why, yet I only remember five.

Learn to live The Spectacular Now

For there is something new Every Day.

Underneath Everything, there are All The Bright Places.

It is with The Beginning of Everything,

Where you learn The Truth About Forever.

All are Extraordinary Means,

That are Falling Into Place.

While The Rest of Us Just Live Here,

You will be a Legend who will Carry On.”

This is what procrastination does to your brain. Hey, maybe I should make that a book title. Oh well. I love this challenge! ❤

Love-A-Thon 2016: An Introduction

Hello everyone! I am a little late since I just finished my exams. But I’m here! Hahaha. And I’m happy to be able to participate on this year’s Love-A-Thon hosted by: Alexa (Alexa Loves Books), Cee (The Novel Hermit), Hazel (Stay Bookish) & Mel (The Daily Prophecy).

This is actually  my first to hear of it, being a newbie blogger and all. Yet, with all the enthusiasm and the prospects of meeting other bloggers, I decided to join in. This will probably make up most of my semestral break, which is just a week, mind you. Anyways, let’s start with the introduction already! ❤

What’s your name?

My name is Bianca. My last name is on my e-mail address. Let’s move along people.

Where in the world are you blogging from?

I’m blogging from the Philippines.

How did you get into blogging in the first place?

Well, this may sound cheesy but one of love-a-thon’s hosts made me want to start a book blog. It’s Hazel from Stay Bookish. With a thirst for more YA books to read and feeling inspired by Filipino book bloggers, here I am.

How did you come up with your blog name?

The Ultimate Fangirl is a name that I came up with when I realized that I love just absolutely every fandom there is. Even when I don’t really know what it’s about, I eventually like stuff.

What genre do you read and review the most on your blog?

Mostly YA books with male leads.

What other types of posts do you do on your blog, apart from reviews?

I have recently participated on doing Top Ten Tuesdays, Spotlight Saturdays, and book club stuff. I also post random thoughts, book reviews, discussion posts and whole lot more. Told you, I’m the ultimate. Hahaha.

Best blogging experience so far?

Having so many views because of a movie review, when I ironically review mainly books.

Favorite thing about the blogging community?

Everyone is so friendly and charming. I love how everyone is a total nerd about books.

Name the 5 books you’re most excited for this 2016!

The Glittering Court, Every Exquisite Thing, Gemina, Holding Up The Universe, and The Shadow Queen! ❤

Name the 5 books you want to read this 2016 that you didn’t get to in previous years!

I actually have a whole list about it, but on my top 5 is Cinder, Simon VS. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, Am I Normal Yet, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Ruin and Rising.

What’s an underrated book or series that you think everyone should read?

One Night in Paris (also entitled The Secret Paris Cinema Club). I love the book to bits, even if it’s adult fiction. I just love books set in Paris.

Which book boy or girl would be your book BFF?

Which book boy or girl would be your book boyfriend/girlfriend?

Definitely Kenji Kishimoto ♡

Who would you recruit for your apocalypse squad (5 characters max)

Easy. My bby Kenji Kishimoto, Leo Valdez, Hermione Granger, Deadpool, and  Amy Gumm.

Apart from reading, what are your other hobbies or interests?

Video editing, graphic designing, sleeping (a joke), making poetry and papercrafts.

Apart from book shopping, what else do you like shopping for? I love to shop for dresses. I love dresses. They’re like the go to outfits I can wear when I have something to go to.

At a party, the DJ suddenly changes the song – and it’s your song. What song would be playing? Rather Be by Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne. This song is my jam. And my energy booster. And my “don’t cry, there’s always hope” song.

Pick out either a book you want turned into a film/TV show, or a film/TV show you want turned into a book.

Just give me the script for Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock already, Channing Tatum. I’ll make it myself if I have to.

What would your dream library look like?

Author you want to meet and sit down to tea with? Can I pick two? Because I’m torn between chatting with Becky Albertalli and Jennifer Niven. Both of them are very fluffy, and I would like to learn more about their writing process ♡
