Top Ten Tuesday: Books by my Faves – that I Haven’t Read Yet

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

*tries to facepalm but retracts* It’s actually quite amusing that even though these authors are my faves, I still haven’t read some of their books. I’m not gonna facepalm myself because of the matter; it’s okay. Sometimes even if it’s your favorite author, life happens and it just doesn’t give you the flipping time to read. Case in point: I truly love the works of the majority of these authors and I wish I could split myself in half so that I could read and rave their newest release. But reality check: that only happens in mythology and I’m not a superhuman who can kage bunshin no jutsu. On the bright side, it’s always a delight to know that there are amazing books waiting for me.

(Alternate post title: Top 10 Books That May or May Not Be Saved From A Fire)

Also, I know I’m shouting to the void here at the moment but do you ever feel like you badly need to have a physical copy because you get so emotionally attached to the book? Sometimes the words radiating on your ebook is not enough satisfaction? This is also the reason why I have yet to read some of the books on this list.

Anyway, without further ado, here are the ten books by my faves that I haven’t had the time to read yet:

  • Am I Normal Yet by Holly Bourne
  • My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows
  • The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand
  • They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera
  • Chasing Mindy by Carla de Guzman
  • The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
  • Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff
  • House of Hades by Rick Riordan
  • Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
  • Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

I know, blasphemy right? I also partially blame my short attention and patience span when it comes to fantasy series. I like reading it, but you can never really tell with your mood, your schedule, and your overall self. Only time can tell when I will pick these lovely tomes.

So, which of these books have you not read as well? What should I pick up first?

  1. Ooh House of Hades was my fave Heroes of Olympus book! I liked Crooked Kingdom but it wasn’t as good as Six of Crows.

    1. I’m planning to reread the entire PJO so I can catch with Apollo. I feel like I’m missing out. Also maybe that’s why I have been putting off reading Crooked Kingdom because Six of Crows was just so flipping good.

  5. Read Crooked Kingdom first, Lifelike, and then The Serpent King. Haven’t read the others, so I can’t comment on them. Happy reading!
