Hello and welcome to another stop for A Blade So Black blog tour hosted by Aimee, Always! While I will only be sharing blurbs, I have been very inspired by the lovely cover to come up with various styles. I really love the aesthetic of the cover, so I figured I would share some of the styles to what I think describes what is contained within the pages of this wonderful novel.

Summary:
The first time the Nightmares came, it nearly cost Alice her life. Now she’s trained to battle monstrous creatures in the dark dream realm known as Wonderland with magic weapons and hardcore fighting skills. Yet even warriors have a curfew.
Life in real-world Atlanta isn’t always so simple, as Alice juggles an overprotective mom, a high-maintenance best friend, and a slipping GPA. Keeping the Nightmares at bay is turning into a full-time job. But when Alice’s handsome and mysterious mentor is poisoned, she has to find the antidote by venturing deeper into Wonderland than she’s ever gone before. And she’ll need to use everything she’s learned in both worlds to keep from losing her head . . . literally.
Style # 1: A Modern Alice
Alice loves her converse (though I won’t be saying more than that), and I think this style reflects how cool Alice is. The story conveys Alice as cool and complex, and she’s one who cares so much for the people that she loves. With that said, I firmly believe she’s still definitely chic while fighting the Nightmares alongside the Hatter.
Style # 2: Reimagined
Since A Blade So Black is an Alice in Wonderland retelling, its roots come from the Victorian era. There are certain elements in the story that stayed true to its predecessor, but this action-packed offering ties it to the modern era. Hence, I believe this style reflects the wonderful world compacted within the pages of this novel. Classy, but still rocking it.
Style #3: Not-Your-Average Retelling
As the story goes, it gets curiouser and curiouser. This story is not your regular retelling, for it portrays beloved characters in a whole other light. Sure, it’s set in our day. But it still conveys a delight that will make you believe you can do six impossible things before breakfast. Unexpected, but definitely worth reading about. Want a boost to Wonderland? Then this story is definitely for you.
