Well hello there. I see you have clicked to read my March wrap-up. Let me ask you then: how was your March? Productive? Ridiculous? Exam-filled? Mine was a roller coaster, I can tell you that.
I didn’t want March to end. There, I said it. It is my best reading month so far, with an astounding 4 books read. And those are not just any books. I mean, they are legit. Did I read a single book that I did not give a rating of 4 below? Nope. Nope. Nope. But before I get to the books that made me go all jumpy this March, let’s get to my TBR first.
Now because of my success last March, I am ridiculously hyper and I upgraded my TBR to 5 books. So that means: 1) TBRs can somehow guide neurotic readers, and 2) a month of ridiculously good books can lead you to being hyper. (Title links to its Goodreads page.) If you will notice, I just give out commentaries on what I think about the books and why I want to pick it up. I read books blindly. I don’t even read summaries at the back. But rest assured, when I want to read a book, I really want to read it.
This one almost made to the books I read for the month of March. But sadly, I got busy and did not get the chance to finish it before April. Of course, I can guarantee that I will finish this lovely book this month. All for the author, and the book! I hope you guys stay tuned for my SST review for this one.
Another book for an SST tour! This time, I think I finally found the book that will make me really feel all the feels. The premise of this book is amazing! I’m glad that I’m part of the tour. I mean, a book about a fangirl. Yet again. Well darn, this might be my next bible.
The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead
Have I not stated how much I wanted to read this book? I mean, how many blog posts have I raved about the premise and the setting. I have never read a book made by Richelle Mead, so I guess she finally succeeded into making me read one of her books. She came close when she released Soundless, but I guess the historical premise of The Glittering Court is enough for me to place her on a throne. (Well, maybe after I read this book.) And to make matters more amazing, I will be buddy reading this book with Karla from Reads and Thoughts and Aditi from A Thousand Worlds, A Million Books.
The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand
I just had to finally pick this book up. It was released last year? I think. And Ate Bea from Confessions of a Pinay Bookaholic recommended this one to me, when I badly needed a 5 star read. Well, since I am on a roll, I will be picking this book up for April. Who knows? Maybe April will continue the reading streak that March has led me to.
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
And the Fanboy Book Club read for the month of April is The Scorpio Races. This month, Ate Trisha from The Bookgasm Blog will be hosting, and I am sure as heck excited. Like Richelle Mead, I have never read anything from Maggie Stiefvater. I want to read The Raven Boys but The Scorpio Races paved its way first. What surprised me was… I didn’t know that this book actually featured a male lead. Isn’t that peculiarly amazing?

And just when I thought I would never land a 5 star rating, bam! Cinder came in and swooped me away. I hope to read more from the series, because that cliffhanger is killing me. Can someone please tell me where I can get Scarlet? I badly need it. And what made me give this book a 5 star? It was the villains. Adri and Queen Levana fueled my hate/love fire and it gave me a reason to root for Cinder. I NEED MORE FROM THIS SERIES.
The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas

Before Cinder, I was already gnawing this book and immediately had the urge to give it a 5 star rating. And fair enough, when I did finish it, I was blown away. A good mystery thriller contemporary does not come around every so often. But I believe that if you don’t pick up and read The Darkest Corners, you may be missing something in your life. Plus, it featured a female lead that thinks like Sherlock Holmes and dresses like a regular teenager. Come on, you know you want to read it, too. Just in case you need more convincing, I reviewed this book. But more of that down on the book reviews.

Romance. Contemporary. Multiple parallel universes. How did 2014 slip by without me not knowing about this book? It was an incredibly constructed book, that featured a lot of real emotions. It dwelled on what if’s and maybe’s, and what might have been’s. Despite having a deep connection with the characters, the book will make for an awesome read especially if you want to feel like you traveled around the world without leaving the comforts of your own bed.

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

I declare thee a success. The Fanboy Book Club has delivered, and this was such an amazing read. I thought that after reading all of those amazing books, it will all go downhill. But boy was I wrong. Male leads come from different aspects, and this one is as unique as it gets. I don’t want to spoil, but between getting an Eternal Sunshine From the Spotless Mind vibe and a heart-wrenching tale, Adam Silvera delivered a ridiculously good story.
Nope. Still not posting a book haul. We celebrated Lent here in the Philippines and I made a sacrifice not to buy any books. Sadly, it consisted most of March. But it was worth it.
